Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is an initiative launched in 2013 by former US President Barack Obama. It is the U.S. government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development in Southeast Asia.
YSEALI Women's Leadership Academy (WLA) consists of past graduates from the YSEALI WLA Academy that is being hosted every year in Jakarta since its inception in 2015. The network currently has more than 120 members across Southeast Asia, and continues to grow yearly as more women graduate from the Academy. Our aim is to educate, connect, and empower women across ASEAN to solve regional and global challenges. YSEALI WLA members run initiatives in women empowerment, civic engagement, environmental protection, and economic development in their respective countries.
