Photoshop and Illustrator Workshop for Social Enterprises

12 Sessions - 3 hours each

In this workshop, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of computer-aided-design with industry standard applications - Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The objective of this module is to equip students with the skills necessary to stay relevant in the digital age. This module is divided into two equal parts, 6 sessions for each application.

  1. Understanding Adobe Photoshop tools and work area

  2. Working with Adobe Photoshop layers and masking features

  3. Understanding colour modes, color correction

  4. Working with transparencies, blending mode, paths and clipping paths

  5. Filters and plug ins

  6. File formats, smart objects, etc


  • Understanding the workspace of a vector-based environment

  • Basic layout techniques

  • Drawing with Adobe illustrator

  • Working with layers, transparencies, graphic styles

  • Precision drawing with Adobe Illustrator

  • Path operations, masking and filters


Colin Lee’s 1st foray in graphic design was as a freelance designer in 2003; designing brochures and flyers. That was also when his love for photography developed and he started honing his skills for photography while on his job assignments

After that, he made a commitment to delve into the industry, accepting a wide range of assignments and increasing the breath of his experience. At the same time, he enrolled himself into Inspiration Design International Where he graduated with a Diploma (High Distinction).
