ON COLE SIRUCEK
Cole is an entrepreneur and investor. As Co-Founder and CEO of DocDoc, he leads its overall strategy and expansion. Cole is also a Co-Founder of Epic MMA Club, Asia’s largest mixed martial arts training center and is a member of the Board of Directors for Global Eagle Acquisition Corp, a NASDAQ listed Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation focused on the media and entertainment industry.
Previously, Cole spent seven years as an investor with Temasek Holdings. In this capacity, he sourced, executed and monitored investments on a global basis in the firm’s telecommunications, media and technology group, successfully investing US$506M. Cole grew up in the USA and attended MIT (MBA) and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government (MPA).
In his free time, Cole is a martial artist, adventure racer, scuba diver and mountaineer. Cole has completed self-supported 250KM foot races across China’s Gobi Desert and Egypt’s Sahara Desert, funding medical missions in Vietnam and China that directly saved the lives +13 children. He and his wife, Grace Park, DocDoc's Co-Founder share a heartfelt, challenging and epic story in their quest to save their daughter's life, which led to the founding of DocDoc.
DocDoc is Asia’s largest real-time online doctor reservation system. It was founded to transform the healthcare experience of patients and doctors by enabling direct accessibility and a simple discovery process from research to appointment booking. One of Singapore’s best startups, DocDoc is a disruptive solution to Asia's complex-to-navigate healthcare markets. It just raised a US8.5 million Series A funding round in April 2015, led by Hong Leong Finance Group. Other notable investors 500 Startups, Jungle Ventures, William Hawkins, (former CEO of Medtronic), Koh Boon Hwee (former Chairman of DBS bank, Singtel, and Singapore Airlines). DocDoc currently employs 64 full-timers and has a presence in Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines.
