His roles include managing the company’s buying function, ranging from the product assortment on ZALORA's website, analysis on customer buying behavior and working with Malaysia’s top designers; Jovian Mandagie, Syomir Izwa, and Rizalman, to bring forth exclusive collection launches. Alvin joined ZALORA Malaysia as an Entrepreneur in Residence within the Business Intelligence function in May 2013. In September 2014, he was promoted to an Associate Director in ZALORA Malaysia.Luca Barberis As Managing Director, Luca Barberis currently heads the marketing team of ZALORA Malaysia, Asia’s Online Fashion Destination. Luca is also the founder of DS Ltd, a online and mobile publisher, running a portfolio of websites with up to 1Mil visitors per day. The company works in online advertising, software downloads and mobile apps distribution with a focus on India, Brazil and South East Asia. Prior to working with Rocket Internet and ZALORA, Luca held the position of Account Manager at Google, where he managed a $6+ Mil/Quarter portfolio of businesses (from startups to large enterprises), advising customers on a range of topics such as online marketing, international expansion and online growth strategy.Overview:This session will shed light on the e-commerce ecosystem in Malaysia, with a particular focus on ZALORA and it's rise to becoming the market leader in online fashion.
