"The difference between landscape and landscape is small, but there is a great difference in the beholders." - Ralph Waldo Emerson It is this great difference that "Spaces and Places" explores, with 10 photographers bringing their diverse perspectives in engaging the medium of photography. In this exhibition, photography itself becomes a space of encounter, and a site of memory. Each photograph is documentation of a spatial, visual and emotional journey that leads the viewers through exotic cultures, surreal landscapes, towering monuments, geometric abstraction, urban scaffolding and hell. As we wander through these spaces and encounter these places, we also dwell in the particular sensibilities of each photographer, and perhaps in so doing we might find new ways of beholding the world around us.Please note the works will be on sale, we accept cash or cheque. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. During the opening night if you wish to purchase deal directly with the photographer, all proceeds go to the photographer or his charity of choice. Photo Jam Singapore arranges the event and will not be involved in the arrangement between you and the photographer.
