Theatre Incubator for Teens - Module 3: The Director

Working with a
script and a cast of actors, students (aged 13-17) will learn how the director
creates a vision for the play. Areas of focus:
- Analysing the script
- Creating a stage picture
- Effectively using the rehearsal process
- Learning how to communicate with actors
- Preparing a director’s vision using a director’s binder
- Utilizing collaboration and teamwork in the creative process of mounting a
play.
Workshop take-away: A director’s folder with a producer’s pitch meeting at the end of the session. The best pitch may have the opportunity to have their play produced.
