Our speakers for this session include Dave Pynt from restaurant Burnt Ends, Andrew Baldus from Meatsmith, and selected hawkers whose specialties involve the use of fire in recreating local favourites. The session will engage the speakers and participants in a roundtable discussion about food traditions and technicalities (if any) about the art of using fire in food - skills such as roasting, smoking, grilling, etc. Sample portions of dishes prepared by the chefs will be provided during the talk. Talking Crop Sessions are a series of non - profit, educational talks organised by the Growell Pop Up revolving around ideas relating to food security in the local context. Please note that we offer a discounted rate for students, so please show your student pass on the day itself :) Updates tag:peatix.com,2015-03-25 01:46:16 2015-03-25 01:46:16 The event description was updated.
