#WeightofDesign is a series of projects and events curated by Lopelab and under the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute of Singapore with support from The Working Capitol and CB2.The event kicks off with the Design Week Photo Contest, where everyone is invited to be an un-official reporter by capturing design snapshots about the #WeightofDesign. To enter the contest, simply upload your shots on Social Media using the hashtags #WeightofDesign and #lopelab. There will also be a Design Market Xchange on the weekend of March 20 to March 22 at The Working Capitol,on Keong Saik Road. The concept here is to bring an object of design and show and tell your object, then barter with others for another object that is lighter and better designed. The market will start with 20 gorgeous pieces donated by CB2. The Open Night is taking place on Saturday, March 21 from 6pm onwards. Lopelab invites everybody to bring any item of design for the Show, Tell & Swap game, mingle over drinks and light bites, and find out who the winner of the photo contest is based on social media votes and The Weight of Sound. The photo contest awards ceremony will be followed by a live DJ set, more drinks.Free entrance and free to inspire and surprise us.
