DIY Your Clothes Workshop

by Agatha Lee, http://greenissuessingapore.blogspot.sg/

Ever wondered how to get more out of your clothes but don’t want to hit the stores? You can do a little DIY and upcycle them – take existing garments and transform them into another wearable piece or even something new. Reconnect with your garments, personalize and beautify them.

What to expect:

This is an introductory class to upcycling your clothes. Bring two or three old garments and explore different techniques to breathe new life into them. Instructors, Agatha and Raye will share with you their passion for upcycling clothes, why it is important, and how to make your clothes last longer.

Participants also get to take home DIY tips and natural laundry soap.

Agatha is an eco designer and the founder of Green Issues by Agy.

Having been in the environmental sector for over 10 years, she is an advocate of sustainable fashion, including the upcycling of post-consumer garments and textile waste. She is also passionate about the “Mend and Make Do” movement.

When she is not reconstructing her clothes and experimenting with sewable electronics, she is busy sharing fabric hacking tips on her blog and at workshops.
