Suitable for all age groups, the concert will introduce a diverse repertoire of familiar favorites ranging from the Cantonese rock ballad “光辉岁月” (Guang Hui Sui Yue) to the soulful jazz tune “Fly Me to the Moon”. Listen out for popular works like Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and a medley of Bruno Mars’ music hits. Performing alongside The TENG Ensemble are musical theatre performers Frances Lee and Sugie Phua! Come spend a relaxing evening together and celebrate in this season of fullness and family reunion. The concert is part of the Singapore Chinese Music Festival 2019. About the PerformersThe TENG Ensemble is a critically acclaimed Singaporean Chinese fusion music group that bridges between cultures East and West, boasting musical influences from both the traditional and the contemporary. As a collective of music educators, scholars and award-winning instrumentalists, the Ensemble’s performances have been a staple in Singapore’s arts scene since 2009.Frances Lee is a regular feature in the local theatre scene, and has received a string of nominations for herwork in theatre. She clinched the title 'Best Newcomer of 2016' in StyleXStyle's annual Trailblazer Awards. She was nominated for Best Actress for her performance as Helen in Pangdemonium’s Fat Pig (2014), as well as Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Rosemary Joseph in Dick Lee’s Beauty World(2015), and in Checkpoint Theatre's The Last Bull (2016) Other nominations include Best Ensemble for her workin Tribes (Pangdemonium) and Normal (Checkpoint Theatre). On TV, she plays the role of the effervescent 'Miss Priscilla in OKTO's 'Whoopie's World-Season 2' (Verite Productions).Sugie Phua is a singer, actor and host in Singapore. Sugie started his entertainment career when he reached the finals of the inaugural Project Superstar (2005), Channel U’s singing contest. He later ranked top 7 in the Taiwanese international singing competition One Million Star 3 (2008).
