Conceptualised and Written by Dwayne Lau, A Date with Dwayne
is his first one man show where he brings you on a journey of breakups,
unrequited love, friendships and family ties. Told through songs, skits and
with the help of a few friends, A Date with Dwayne welcomes all couples and
singles to escape the commercial shebang of Valentine’s Day but instead come

About DwayneDwayne graduated from The NUS Theatre Studies Program (Hon) in 2007 and currently runs the Drama Department at his Church. He is also the resident drama coach of both St. Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School and Meridian Junior College.His stage credits include:I Theatre’s: You Are Special, The Wizard of Oz, Hop & Honk, The Elves and the Shoemakers. STAGES’ : Dine-in-Cabaret: Broadway for Suakus, Chestnuts Does Christmas (2009), Chestnuts 3D (2010), Chestnuts i15 (2012), Chestnuts White Paper (2013) WILDRICE’s: Own Time Own Target (2008 and 2009), Cinderel-lah! (2010), Tok-Cock-Sing-Song Singapore Theatre Festival (2011), Hansel and Gretel (2012). The Necessary Stage's PoorThing (2014) and Pioneer (Girls) Generation (2015) As a playwright, he has writtten for Church Musicals and The Singapore Youth Festival. Dwayne has also written I Theatre’s year-end production, Ashputtel, the Story of Cinderella and BRAVE MAEVE - a fundraising musical funded by Axa insurance, in support of children with cancer.
