Annual Growth Rate）は73.2％になるという予想が出ている。また、2018年の支出額は15億ドルと見込まれ、これは2017年の支出額の約2倍となる。2008年～2017年の間に、世界で設立されたブロックチェーンスタートアップは1150社以上にも及び、2018年には少なくとも1240社以上のブロックチェーン企業が様々な業界へ進出している。
