This workshop is conducted at Komodo National Park and its vicinity, providing you with better understanding of nature photography and best practices. We will live onboard a wooden boat for three nights, giving us enough time to explore the national park from the sea and on land. We will photograph the ecological wonders of the park, located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago. We focus on the Komodo Dragon, an endangered and protected species, and other wildlife at Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the only location in the world to see the last living link to dinosaurs in a habitat they have roamed for thousands of years. This programme is tailored for photo enthusiats of all levels and any travellers. The workshop is planned with ecological, social and economic sustainability in mind. Throughout this programme, we are engaging the services of local people for guiding, transportation and accommodation. We purchase local produce. The conservation fee that you contribute goes directly to the Komodo National Park to support their effort in research and conserving the biodiversity of the area. The group size is kept to a maximum of 10 persons (including myself) as part of our effort to minimise impact to this delicate and natural area. Participants will be briefed prior to this trip on guidelines and Do's and Dont's of the host destinations. Tentative Workshop Schedule - 6 DAYS 5 NIGHTS:Day 1: Participants arrive Bali - Welcome dinner - Pre-trip briefing.Day 2: Fly to Labuhan Bajo, West Flores - Cruise to Komodo National Park - Orientation.Day 3 to Day 4: Spend two days exploring the Park - We will have time to photograph landscape, wildlife and subjects of interest. Exploration will be on foot and on cruise with nightly review of photographs taken.Day 5: Return to Labuhan Bajo for flight back to Bali.
