You can also look forward to sampling her very own exclusive Yoon’s Signature Teochew Png Kueh, and a rare item – authentic Teochew Cikak Kueh, made with specially sourced cudweed, a fresh-tasting aromatic herb which grows around rice paddies and fields. Born into a Teochew family as the eldest sister to six siblings, and subsequently marrying into another Teochew clan, she was expected to take care of her siblings, husband, family and do all the household chores – including cooking. She always seeks to evolve and improve her kueh skills, ensuring only the best goes out from her steamer to her family and her fellow kueh enthusiasts! Chef Christopher Tan is an award-winning writer, photographer, cookbook author and culinary instructor, whose original words, images and recipes center on food, culture and heritage.
