For the rose, we’ll focus on sculpting techniques: i.e. how to create three-dimensional petals with our fingers and with curling tools. We will explore the malleable nature of Italian Crepe and practise creating soft, full petals that produce voluminous and realistic rose blooms.Beginners are welcomed! Each participant will be given enough materials to make 3 Crepe Paper Roses. You may choose from different shades of pinks, reds and peach. There’ll be wrapping materials available as well if you’ll like to bring home your rose in a bouquet. Workshop Outline:- Introduction to Italian Crepe Paper and its properties- Sculpting petals and attachment techniques- How to make a leaf stalk- How to assemble a complete rose stalk- Wrapping a simple bouquet (optional)About the Instructor:Eileen has been making paper flowers since 2015 - she is completely self-taught and creates each paper flower design from scratch. She has made and taught flowers for brands such as Harper’s Bazaar, Keds, Kate Spade New York, COACH, Olivia Burton and Spotlight. She loves to teach and hopes to spread the joy of crafting.Directions to the Studio:This class will be held in MP&B’s temporary studio at 4 Eng Kong Road S599082.
