There will be guided exercises with prompts for you to start writing your bio and pitches in creative and relevant ways. Upon completion of this 2-hour workshop, participants will have a draft of a new bio and pitch which they may continue to develop and refine.Important NotesLimited capacity - 20 pax only. As we would like to anchor the workshop within the arts and to focus on presence and creativity, we will be using pen and paper to write and draw. We kindly request that participants leave their laptops and electronic devices at the door. Please bring your preferred personal writing materials instead: pens, journals or notebooks, etc. Writing materials will be provided should you require them.The workshop will take place at the studio of The Storytelling Centre @ Goodman Arts Centre. Participants may choose to sit at a table or lounge on the studio floor, whichever best suits to stimulate their writing. Through Moonshadow Stories she pioneered performance storytelling for adult audiences in Singapore. For more than fifteen years she has been producing storytelling events independently. Known for her focus on Asian culture and heritage she has worked extensively with museums and galleries designing in-gallery and object-based programmes that focus on museum-based learning approaches.She was commissioned by SIFA 2018 to produce the site specific storytelling experience The Hidden at The Armenian Church. More recently she was commissioned by The Arts House to produce the roving storytelling experience A Night of Terrifying Tales based on the bestselling series True Singapore Ghost Stories. She is associated with ArtWalk Little India for her site-specific storytelling experiences ranging from temple tours, dinner theatre sessions to sensory storytelling experiences.Kamini is creative producer for StoryFest: International Storytelling Festival Singapore and founding director of The Storytelling Centre Ltd. She teaches various aspects of storytelling at LASALLE and runs the Young Storytellers Mentorship Programme developing emerging talents.
