Get on board the historical time train to learn about the development of batik around the region and to decode the patterns and meaning of popular batik motifs. In 2016, the ex-pharmaceutical research scientist embarked on a batik discovery journey, visiting different batik towns across Indonesian archipelago to learn deeper about the craft.Inspired by the rich heritage, the human stories and the interesting intersection of arts and science, in June 2017, Tony established in aNERDgallery, the first Singapore-based art platform specializing in textile arts with a focus in Indonesian batik.
