Discover and learn concepts and tips on improving your DOTA 2 skills such as improving your MMR, understanding team roles, and hero mastery versus control! The Esports Academy DOTA 2 workshop syllabus is co-developed with Ruth Lim who previously coached a competitive DOTA 2 team, TenTwenty, who won the Singapore qualifers for the Acer Predator League and represented Singapore in Jakarta. She is currently coaching DOTA 2 team, Tr33nity, and holds a CoachSG coaching certificate which is the same cert required by professional sports coaches. She has also worked with top Esports Coach/Analysts like Muriëlle "Kips" Huisman in the past to develop DOTA 2 training curriculum. Well recognized by many in the DOTA2 community, Ruth has attended numerous international gaming tournaments, getting to know and learning from many of the top players worldwide. Over the years, her hard work and ambitions became hard to miss. With this, Ruth wishes to further spread and share her knowledge, experiences and understanding of how to better reach out to gamers in Singapore and beyond.The workshop is brought to you by SCOGA and supported by the National Youth Council.

The workshop is designed to give you an understanding of concepts that will withstand through patches and updates. You will learn various aspects of team composition and assess suitable heroes and playstyles. The workshop will talk about how you can identify team roles and dynamics as well as distinguishing in-game roles based on purpose and tasks during different periods of the game.****************************************************************
Hero Control versus Mastery
****************************************************************13 April 2019, Saturday, 3pm – 5pm This workshop is designed to equip you with the fundamental concepts of hero mastery that goes beyond the heroes’ skills. You will learn about the various strategies that allow you to master heroes successfully. We will cover various topics such as differentiating mastery versus control of heroes, how to create an effective training plan to have full hero controls, skill transferability between heroes, and requirements for attaining hero mastery.****************************************************************
Getting out of the MMR Trench
