Legendary and well respected guitarist Julian Mokhtar has become a household name in the Southeast Asian music scene. Julian has opened for Ian Gillan from Deep Purple and has played blues guitar with guitar extraordinaire, Buddy Guy. The man can swing it low with reggae, get roots with blue grass and just about everything in between.In 2000, he released a self-produced and recorded solo album titled About Time. Mokhtar has appeared as a session player on albums by Amir Yussof and Karen Nunis Blackstone, with whom he also played a number of gigs with in Japan.
