Come join us for a powerful and personal book launch of Ms. Choo Kah Ying's fourth book, Where Does My Autistic Son Belong? Her gripping account of her challenges with her son will have you on the edge of your seat and bring tears to your eyes.  Where Does My Autistic Son Belong? is an evocative account of Kah Ying's extraordinary journey to find an answer for her family's future when the transformation of Sebastien, her autistic son, into an aggressive and self-injurious teenager made their life in the urban environment of Singapore untenable. This outcome was not what she had envisioned when she dedicated her life to homeschooling Sebastien so that he would become a "model" autistic young man. When Kah Ying's battles with Sebastien became increasingly one-sided and dangerous, as he grew older and bigger, she was compelled to come up with a solution that could liberate them from their living nightmare. Her unusual quest would lead her to make a heartbreaking decision, force her to come to terms with tearing apart her family, and push her over the brink of sanity. Nonetheless, Kah Ying's leap of faith would also guide them to a village community and a life-transforming encounter that would unravel the mystery of Sebastien's pubertal explosion and initiate them on a journey of hope and change. The event will feature a book reading, an accompanying slideshow, a Q & A session, and the opportunity to purchase autographed copies of the book.
