In our 13th edition, we shine the spotlight on long-standing organisers to learn how they’ve innovated their platforms to last. Backstage Pass by Peatix is a community event for event organisers to exchange lessons, connect with people who enable events and grow as a group. Themed ‘Built to Last’, we will be garnering insights in these four key areas:
How to retain audiences over long periods of time
How to consistently innovate to keep content fresh and attract new audiences
Documentation and archiving to make content more accessible to audiences who can’t attend.

Peter Howard started selling records 40 years ago to music enthusiasts and aspiring musicians. Among those musicians were Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis, who namedrop Peter as “Mr Sifters” in their single in 1994, “Shakermaker”. With the record store immortalised in song, it inevitably became the spot for kids to buy their first records and for visiting collectors to stop by. SIFTERS ASIA is Asia’s response to the Sifters’ legacy.
