(Updated 27 Feb 2019)*Expanding to new markets and countries can be an important and complex effort for growing businesses. It is a great way to increase sales but the challenges of understanding a new audience, contending against local rivals mean that expansion to new markets often carry significant risks. Do it well and the business will be able to capture huge business value; do it unsuccessfully and it could result in the loss of a lot of time, effort and money. As part of Singapore Design Week 2019, Foolproof will be bringing together design practitioners from various backgrounds (start-ups, in-house design teams and design consultancy) to explore how design approaches can help to advance business expansion strategies that involve stepping into new geographical markets and consumer bases.Through keynotes and a round robin interview session, these practitioners will be sharing their experiences and know-hows in applying design thinking and user-centered approaches to uncover opportunities in new markets, and identify strategies to capture new audiences. In the round robin interview, speakers will take turns to interview one another with questions and curiosities they each have with regards to the topic, in relation to their backgrounds. Through this format, we aim to uncover insights and learnings that are relevant to different business contexts and objectives.Light snacks will be served from 6.30-7.00pm.Registration (Please read before registering)Registration via Peatix is compulsory for this event.
