Synopsis: Sedulous Production will incite you with our adaptation of Mama Looking for Her Cat. It was written by the late Kuo Pao Kun and it is the first multilingual play in Singapore which was first staged on 10 August 1988 by Practice Theatre Ensemble (PTE).The play depicts family dysfunction and generation gaps but at the same time portraying the vibrancy and harmony of our local community. There is emphasis on the breakdown in communication and the distancing relationship between a Hokkien-speaking mother and her bilingual-speaking children, who are only versed in English and Mandarin. The play gradually unveils the underlying cause of the diminishing local traditional dialects.Information:After booking your tickets, do collect your tickets on the day itself at our booth by providing us your name and contact number that you have booked with.
