Ten years after finishing his stint in the military, Kelvin Kyung Kun Park returns to the barracks to document the experience of serving in the army from the eyes of Woochul, their latest recruit. The film quietly observes Woochul’s stoic struggle to adapt to life in the military, while the filmmaker recounts his own memories of soldiering. What emerges is a portrait that looks deep into the psyche of collectivism and national identity, and their impact on the individual.
