True or False?Moving well into its fifth edition in 2019, Make The Change’s Design For Good Talk is an initiative aimed at engaging and provoking communities to use works of creativity and design to positively influence the world. If the purpose of design is to make life easier and better for people, then one may wonder about what good design really entails. Drawing on the frame of thought that design is seen everywhere and anywhere, possibilities are endless and potential immense for people to design for people. It is also not hard to see how a slight change in form, shape or even colour may potentially lead to a better lifestyle. As much as this is useful for people with special needs like adults with children, the elderly or wheelchair users, the unique quality of good design often allows the entire community to reap its benefits. And just as how there has never been a right or wrong answer to creativity, the heart to design with intentionality takes priority in determining the experience for end-users.  Having said that, there are just as many nuggets of wisdom to harvest from “bad” design as well. This opens up a new space for people to think further and redesign for people. Along with this train of thought, the talk sets up the stage for passionate changemakers in Singapore to come on board and share about their success, failures, insights, and experiences as guest speakers. Attendees will get to be part of the narrative that celebrates real stories. Not perfect, but strong, inspiring and relatable journeys.Speakers:Tim Hamons - Visual Thinking Strategist, Speaker, and Trainer, Visual FacilitatorWith over 20 years of experience, Tim Hamons is a visual thinking strategist who uses a dynamic facilitation style to illustrate visual thinking and visual recording.
