Follow our friendly and experienced street mural guide Simon to traverse the big roads and the small lanes in search of these murals with a plot. Some stories will be revealed through hints and insights from our guide — have fun uncoding what the artists intended to convey!We begin the tour with a bit of architecture, exploring three buildings that span different periods in Singapore.Our meeting point is the contemporary La Salle College of the Arts where Singapore’s young artists are being groomed. We then depart the modern world and take a short walk back in time to the historic and beautiful Abdul Gafoor Mosque, completed in 1907. Next, we head to the Great Madras Hotel (not to be confused with the Most Exotic Marigold Hotel!!), a new boutique hotel housed in a pre-war building with ample nostalgia in its revamped décor.Then we wend around some back alleys to embark on our great mural adventure to check out several impressive street paintings, a veritable "mamak" mall of paintings that many people don't know exisits deep inside Little India.And of course, informative nuggets of heritage and history will naturally be weaved in throughout the walk for our version of a 3-in-1 masala of art, heritage and architecture in Little India!
