Our guide will point out areas and wild creatures of particular interest, including many species of our winged friends. And keep your eyes peeled for tree-climbing crabs, mudskippers and other plants and animals that live in the mangroves.You will also learn a bit about the historical significance of the area, from the vast rubber plantations that once thrived there to it having been one of the points on which the invading Japanese Imperial Army first made land-fall in WWII.After a 2.5-hour walk through Sungei Buloh, we’ll go to the nearby — and well known — Bollywood Veggies for refreshments (included in the price) before heading back to town.
Please note you have a choice of meeting us at Dempsey at 8am to drive up to the Reserve , or to meet us there at 8:30am; tickets are priced for these 2 options accordingly. The relevant directions will be sent to you a few days before the walk. We will limit the total number of participants to 12 - the current total is larger simply to offer adequate options.
