At this workshop for ages 7 to 12, Darel introduces you some local endangered and extinct animals that we share this island with. You’ll learn how to draw them and create a simple pop-up diorama which will explore our impact on the environment and the relationship we have with our non-human neighbours.Darel is a visual storyteller who illustrates the tales of the natural world through his unique brand of wry wit and whimsy. He believes in the draw of storytelling as a means of engagement, creating experiences that simultaneously excite and educate. Particularly interested in museums and culture, he has worked with art, cultural, and educational institutions to encourage learning through the power of imagination and play. The workshop is organised as part of Everything you know goes away, a nostalgic playground with a twist.
