For "Hello, Dali!", DFI introduces a new long-form improv structure, "Unintended Consequences", once again setting the bar for innovative and inspired improvised comedy.“McBeth…eviscerates Shakespeare’s text until it begs for mercy…pure hilarity.” Straits Times.Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dali I Domenech, professionally known as Salvadore Dali (1904-1989), is one of the most celebrated artists of all time! His fiercely technical yet highly stylized paintings, sculptures, visionary explorations in film and life-size interactive art ushered in a new generation of imaginative expression! Best known for the striking, bizarre images in his Surrealist work, he enjoyed indulging in unusual and grandiose behavior, just like us at Delta Force Improv! Jan 23rd also happens to be the anniversary of Dali's death. It's going to be a very special night!The show will be divided into two parts.Part One: “SALVADORE’S DELI”Salvadore’s Deli is a café on the outskirts of Interzone, where artists, writers, Mugwumps and all manner of subversives frequent. Inspired by audience suggestions, the conversations across and at the various tables will switch between linear and non-linear so quickly you will agree that the ‘mouth is quicker than the eye’. After a short break, Part Two will begin with a Q and A session with the finalists of MISS DELTA FORCE IMPROV 2019, followed by “GALLERHEA”. Gallerhea takes us on a guided tour of many of Dali’s most famous works, with experts from Delta ForceImprov and audience volunteers providing the critiques upon which the improvised scenes will be built.
