Coptic bindings use a multiple loop stitch to bind page sections to a front and back cover.  This leaves the spine exposed and Coptic style books are noted for being able to lay open completely flat without risking damaging the spine. In this workshop, you can expect to learn Single Coptic binding, book cover construction and book block preparation. Using 1 needle, learn to weave along and sew your own notebook with encased stitches. A prerequisite for all bookbinding classes and a must know for all book binding enthusiasts! All materials provided for this workshop.No prior bookbinding experience required. Suitable for all beginners.
