your hand at capturing the spectacular South Cross – a stunning array of stars
from the Milky Way galaxy which can be seen all year round from almost anywhere
in Australia.
Under the guidance of Travel Photographer of the Year Winner Felix Hug,
producer Jamie Boyd and award winning South Australian Photographer John White,
you can look forward to diverse outdoor sessions and the opportunity to hone
your photography skills. This is an exclusively tailored program to give you a chance
to share time with some of the best in the field and gather useful photography
tips to enhance your skills. Please bring along your camera and your laptop to the
Getaway. South Australia will be our studio! Tentative Itinerary 22 OctArrival at Port Lincoln – pick up from airport and check into
Port Lincoln Hotel. Complimentary welcome dinner. 23 OctVisit Mikirra Koala Sanctuary for great shots of the iconic
wildlife. Experience night photography under a star-filled sky at Sleaford Bay. 24 OctTake a drive down to Gawler Rangers Camp and set out to
explore Gawler Rangers National Park with the guidance of a park ranger. Visit
the unique rock formations at Eyre Peninsula and get your cameras ready for
some awesome night sky photography. 25 OctDiscover majestic granite rocks over at Murphy’s Haystacks,
one of the most popular and photographed attractions on the Eyre Peninsula.
Head over to the Salt Lake for a session on light painting. 26 OctProceed to Bairds Bay for a chance to observe or dive with
sea lions & dolphins. In the afternoon we photograph at Sheringa Cliffs and
head back to Port Lincoln Hotel for check in. 27 OctVisit Coffin Bay – a popular spot for fishing and water
sports. Check out the breathtaking sand dunes and practice landscape
photography with dramatic dunes as your backdrop. A visit to Australia would be
incomplete without a trip to the Kangaroo Park – get up close and personal with
these lovely creatures and snap a beautiful memento! 28 OctFree and easy time – we will also take the opportunity to do
