Learn about the 3 and a half years that Singapore was Syonan-To, and the reality and repercussions of that occupation, including the Sook Ching massacres. We will visit WW2 sites, including the Sook Ching Memorial site, Changi beach, Changi Chapel & Museum (although partially closed for renovation) we can see the replica chapel)and the old Ford Factory, with our experienced tour guide. We will also spend time at Adam Park, home for many PoWs in the early months of the Occupation, as well as Adam Drive where the civilian Sime Rd PoW camp was located. Hear personal recollections of the impact of the war years on families, the various communities and the country as a whole.
