However, is there more to this?We will dialogue with mental health experts and a person-in-recovery to understand the subtleties of bipolar disorder – including the challenges faced by persons with bipolar disorder and their caregivers, and how they overcome them. In the last 9 years, Anthea founded several ground up initiatives/impact businesses– most notable is Hush TeaBar, Singapore’s 1st silent teabar (a social movement) that empowers and employs only the Deaf and persons-in-recovery from mental health conditions to bring self care and social inclusion to every workplace and community. Panelists:Nawira Baig is a freelance writer and mental health advocate who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She is currently working towards a career in journalism, and several projects driven by her passion in telling stories of voices unheard. Her purpose in life is to heal and help heal; to inspire and be inspired.Dr Ken Ung practices as a Psychiatrist at Adam Road Medical Centre (formerly called Adam Road Hospital). He has been practicing psychiatry for about 30 years since 1988. He is also a prison psychiatrist with the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) since 2013.Dr Mok Yee Ming is Chief of the department of Mood and Anxiety Disorders at the Institute of Mental Health. He has completed research projects, clinical pathway as well as authored book chapters on mood disorders.
