his current role at Nuture Networks, a Tokyo-based management consultancy, Chris
primarily supports globally-active Japanese blue-chip companies. Through
engagements ranging from pre-M&A due diligence to new technology road
mapping, Chris aims to help bridge the gaps between technology, strategy, and
business execution. Chris also has extensive experience in leadership
development in the public and private sectors.His
time on JMEC 15 was a career-shaping experience, and he looks forward to co-working
with the greater alumni community. A native of New York, reluctant
globe-trotter and avid amateur cook, Chris is also proud to be a founding
member and current Co-Chair of the JET Alumni Association of Tokyo.Mireille Watanabe
Handover, Partner, Lumina Learning, JMEC 20As a Partner and senior
facilitator for Lumina Learning, Mireille delivers training on leadership,
teamwork, diversity & inclusion and presentation skills to major
corporations across Japan and Asia. Mireille also trains and supports a
community of over 50 Lumina Practitioners who are certified to use Lumina’s
innovative psychometric tools in their own training and consulting businesses.As
an alumna of JMEC 20 and co-chair of the newly launched JMECAA, Mireille is
inspired by the many brilliant people she has met through the JMEC network.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Mireille enjoys practising Naginata – a budo martial
art in which she holds a 2nd Dan rank and for which she has

SalonsThe “How to…” salons are a
platform for JMEC alumni to learn practical business skills and know-how from
each other. Guided by the motto ‘by
alumni, for alumni’, each event will feature guest speakers from within the
alumni community and focus on a specific topic related to professional
