Capture the scenes of your everyday life the old fashioned way, just using pen, paper, and some tone.This is an outdoor sketching class, but NOT a painting class where you spend 2 hours capturing a scene in lush watercolours. Instead, you will learn how to capture scenes quickly, while on the go- whether you are waiting for your food to arrive at the food centre, or while standing in a crowded train on your way home from work.In this afternoon class, you will learn how to effectively translate what you see around you into lines and tones on paper. And we will be drawing around the Holland Village area. Don’t worry about fancy artist tools and terminology, Andrew likes keeping things simple. You will just need 3hrs of your time, half your brain, eyes, fingers, and some very basic drawing tools. This is a beginner sketching class so you don't need any prior drawing skills/experience to join.Who's teaching? Let Andrew (aka Drewscape) be your instructor for the day. A freelance illustrator and an Eisner-nominated comic artist based in Singapore, he is the author of the graphic novel “Monster, Miracles & Mayonnaise” and illustrator for the children’s book series “Sherlock Sam”.
