We're a mash up of a classroom, playroom, art studio and playground all rolled into one. We work on creating inclusive spaces - much of our work as an organisation has been involved and dedicated towards under-resourced communities. 100% of ticket proceeds from our Tinkerlab sessions will go towards supporting the weekly programming we provide. Another way we celebrate inclusivity is by inviting our friends from the differently-able and under-served communities to join sessions - children from different backgrounds will learn to play and create together - creating opportunities for empathy and kindness to take centre-stage.When can we come? November 24th, 10:00AM to 6:00PMNovember 25th, 10:00AM to 6:00PM (Tickets for this date can be found here)*This is part of a larger event we have on-going during these sessions.  Click here for details.Where should we head to? Our Beyond Awesome space! 315 Outram Road, #08-06A Tan Boon Liat Building, Singapore 169074What can I expect during a Tinkerlab session? During these sessions you'll be surprised to learn that there is no program, no curriculum and no grown-ups or teachers running the show. This is common across all our programming where we allow time for children to simply explore, lead activities they're interested in and collaborate with their peers. Will there be any supervision during these sessions? There will be grown ups in the form of our program captains and volunteers who are ready to support when needed.  All attendees are expected to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. What will my child/will I be able to do? Everyone who participates in these sessions will have creative freedom to use any of the materials and resources made available to create and experiment as they wish (some example photos are shown below to give you an idea of what's possible - the list is in-exhaustive, of course!). Painting to beadwork to up-cycled materials and so much more! Everything you make can be taken home at the end of the session. Because this will be part of our Jumble Sale event, there is also the opportunity for you to shop in our space before or after your session.I can't make the entire session or can't stay for the whole time, am I still able to join? The beauty of our Tinkerlab sessions is it operates on a drop-in/self-directed basis so you can pop in and out as you please within the allocated time.  The sessions are split into 60 minute time allocations - because we do anticipate an interested number of folks dropping in for this activity, we would like to ask that you be considerate for your allocated timing to allow the opportunity for other kids to participate.  Thatbeing said, if the space is rather quiet, we do not have an issue for you staying slightly longer to complete your works of art! What makes Tinkerlab sessions so special? We're not only creating inclusive spaces where children learn, play and explore together (as shared above), we're also encouraging skill-sets that are not often taught in formal education settings or come in the form of a textbook. Things like resilience, empathy, kindness and bravery. What do I need to bring or do before a session?  If you're particular about your child (or yourself) getting paint all over you, we would encourage you to bring an art apron or an old t-shirt.  Other than that, just bring yourself and be ready to have some fun!  What are the different ticketing categories?  One Ticket = One Child + One Accompanying Adult (any additional members to the group will need to purchase an additional ticket)For example, a Mum and Daughter would be able to participate for $10, but if there was an additional person, they would need to have a ticket purchased.100% of proceeds from this activity will support the work we do with youth in Singapore. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
