television.A Christmas special with Ray

continues to travel and sing, create and perform special shows, including a
salute to Lou Rawls, a Tribute to Nat "King" Cole and his acclaimed Motown
show.
Big
Band Express was founded more than two
decades ago in 1994 by Tom Patrick and Dave Plank to promote and perform big
band music in Tucson and southern Arizona. For many years, Tom Patrick lead the band from the
drum set and created quite a loyal following. After Tom’s retirement from
the band, Kelland Thomas as lead
alto took the band in a new direction with more contemporary charts and an
expansion of soloists fronting the band. In the same vein, the current
leader, Pete Swan, has taken the
reins of the most swinging band in southern Arizona and is keeping it growing
musically.
