Ashwin (composer, vocalist) and Lakshmi (vocalist) are musicians who combine Indian Classical with World and Pop genres to create a contemporary global bass experience. Ashwin (Aks) is a film composer and runs his music production company Eclipse Nirvana in California (www.akscomposer.com). He has studied and worked with Oscar-winner AR Rahman. Lakshmi is a scholar-musician and native Singaporean, currently doing her MA in Religious Studies at Stanford University. From Hindu chants to Sufi qawwalis to mainstream Bollywood, Aks and Lakshmi enjoy taking South Asian music to multicultural audiences, and often include English narration to give context. They have produced a number of albums and EPs over the years, which you can check out on iTunes.
