Get a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of Salaam Bombay! with Sooni Taraporevala, screenwriter and on-set photographer of this powerful and moving Cannes Camera d'Or-winning film. Through the lens of Sooni's camera, we journey back to the initial days of interaction with the street children in Salaam Bombay!, and take a look at the filming process on set. In this seminar, Sooni will also showcase her other photography project, PARSIS: The Zoroastrians of India; A Photographic Journey, and participants will get a sneak peek into her latest project, 3½, a futuristic love story she wrote and plans to direct. Lunch will be provided after the session.    About Sooni TaraporevalaWhile working in India as a freelance stills photographer, Sooni Taraporevala wrote the screenplay for Mira Nair’s Salaam Bombay! (1998), which went on to garner international acclaim.
