Participants will then have the opportunity to produce their own zine using the collage technique.Participants are encouraged to think of a subject/theme before the workshop and bring additional print materials (images, magazines, books, flyers, etc) for collaging.Each participant will take home a copy of every riso-printed zine produced during the workshop.Working Together: Collaborative Workshop (28/10) 2:30PM-4:30PMWorking Together (started in 2014) is an investigation into methods of collaboration. It seeks to develop new ways into looking at collaborations and reliable ways of fostering the collaborative process. The investigation consists of a set of parameters that investigates both the collective and communicative role in the collaborative process, these parameters can then be configured to create various combinations which influences the process of the collaborative projects.The workshop will introduce the idea of Working Together and consists of collaborative, poster-making activities that are derived from the parameters of the collaborative concept. The workshop will also includes a short introduction to the Risograph machine as it will be utilised for the print production of the output of the collaborative activities.The goal for every participant to gain a fresh perspective on collaborations that could be integrated into their daily practice. Each participant will be given a copy of every riso-printed poster produced during the workshop.About Shannon Lim ( 15 October to 25 November)The Salon’s second artist residency will be taken on by local graphic designer, Shannon Lim, in an on-site piece through interventive way-finding.
