Outrigger canoeingLove the water, beach and just having ocean fever? Join us for a powerful and fun packed experience in outrigger canoeing a paddle sport originating in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. In this introductory session you will learn the importance of team work, rhythm, coordination and of course the proper technique. Seasoned Paddlers from Singapore Paddle Club will coach you to success and show you a new way to explore Sentosa on the water.Where?We meet at Tanjong Beach, Sentosa (50 meters from Tanjong Beach Club).When?Sat, 9th of August, 1.30PM to 3PMWhats included?Beginners need to show that they can comfortably swim 50 meters. During your introductory session (also called ROOKIE) you learn the basics about Outrigger Canoeing (OC), understand what is a 'huli' (capsize) and what you should do in case this happens. You will then enter your canoe and paddle out to the ocean in groups of 6 people. No worries, you have professional paddlers with you!If you enjoy your rookie session, you can come back for another 2 sessions with the PROS! At that time Singapore Paddle Club will take you out to the Islands, St. Johns or Sister Islands and you get a feeling what real OC is all about! Awesome, right?Check out this awesome video and see how much fun you will have:Why We Paddle RequirementsYou have to be minimum 18 years old and know how to swim.People should bring water/isotonic drinks in reusable bottles, sunblock and a hat.You might get wet, so wear sport or swim wear.Terms and ConditionsDAMAGE OR LOSS (Venue/Equipment) Participants are reminded to treat the equipment provided, with care. In the event that the equipment is lost or damaged while in the participant’s possession, we have the right to invoice you for the cost of replacement or repair.DAMAGE OR LOSS (Participant) Participants shall be responsible for their own personal belongings placed or deposited within the venue or meeting point’s premises (as well as the property of any other persons attending the scheduled event). Neither the host nor 22 Experience Pte Ltd shall be responsible for the safekeeping or custody of any guests’ property. Under no circumstances will the host or 22 Experience Pte Ltd accept responsibility or liability in this aspect.GROUP SIZE Each session has minimum number of 4 participant. If this number is not reached, 22 Experience and the host reserve the right to cancel the class. The maximum number of slots available is limited per group. 22 Experience Pte Ltd and the host reserve the right to reject any bookings at any time, especially after the event is fully booked.OTHER REQUIREMENTS All participants need to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled session to receive their safety briefing. In the event that a participant is late, 22 Experience Pte Ltd reserves the right to cancel their slot without refund. Please be on time!PAYMENTS & WEATHER No refunds. In case of light rain, we will continue the session. If there are thunderstorms and lightning, the sessions will either be delayed or cancelled. If there is cancellation due to a heavy downpour, the session will be re-scheduled.
