Dr Kae has been fighting to conserve the Malayan tiger for 20 years. She is a strong advocate of partnerships between governments, NGOs and civil society for tiger conservation. The Malayan tiger, Panthera tigris jacksoni, found only in the Malay Peninsula, was recognised in 2004 as the ninth sub-species of tiger in the world. To date, three sub-species have gone extinct. The Malayan tiger needs sustained awareness and support from concerned citizens around the world. We need more people to join the fight to save our tigers.
