Yap Kimming, Managing Director of Creativeans
Creativeans is an interdisciplinary creative consultancy based in Singapore, Milan and Jakarta.
Kimming is a leading expert on brand and design strategies, and has collaborated with partners across a broad range of industries, including consumer goods, healthcare, beauty, food & beverage, technology, furniture, industrial, retail and government. A recipient of multiple design awards, Kimming’s works have been widely published and exhibited at international platforms such as Salone del Mobile, London Design Festival and Triennale Design Museum. He is also the author of branding book 'Are You Brand Dead?' and serves on the judging panel of Singapore Prestige Brand Award. Kimming currently serves as the Chairman of Singapore Manufacturing Federation's Lifestyle Industry Group and is on the executive committee of Design Business Chamber Singapore.
Kimming will share on the overarching principles of design thinking and practical tips on how SMEs can apply design thinking to their business.
Lawrence Chong, Co-founder and Global CEO of Consulus
Consulus was founded in Singapore in 2004 and is present in 16 countries, in the regions of the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
Lawrence shares his experiences of helping leaders, companies, cities transform for Industry 4.0 to enable innovation through purpose and unity. His passion is in shaping purpose-driven leaders, companies and smart cities that will contribute to shaping a better world. He is a global advocate for a new economic approach call the Economy of Communion which aims to shape a more equitable society through business.
A featured speaker on issues of social impact, sustainable economy, he was the keynote speaker at the Social Enterprise Forum in Kaohsiung, and at the Asian Congress for Economy of Communion in the Phillippines, and last year in Rome to the New Humanity Movement. He is also the convener for World Company Day, a global non-profit initiative to feature companies that are shaping a better world through daily work. A global keynote speaker for innovation and business design, he has spoken at conferences such as Innovation by Design organised by Fortune Magazine, World Marketing Summit, and in 30 cities such as Rome, Sao Paolo, Brazil, and Melbourne.
Marceline Chin, Assistant Director of Pumpkin Lab, NCSS
NCSS is the umbrella body for over 450 member social service organisations in Singapore. Its mission is to provide leadership and direction in enhancing the capabilities and capacity of their members, advocating for social service needs and strengthening strategic partnership, for an effective social service ecosystem.
Marceline has been in the social service sector for close to 20 years. Her experience spans service planning and development in the disability, community and mental health areas. She was part of the team instrumental in developing the NCSS Enhanced Programme Evaluation framework for social service programmes in Singapore. She was also part of the team that did "Who Cares" publication which won the President Design Award 2018.
Marceline will be narrating her experiences in applying design to the social sector and how it has brought out possibilities and how it complements the service planning and development work.
Joey Kwa, Founder and CEO of Spring Maternity and Bove
Joey Kwa is Founder of Spring Maternity and Bove. Starting with Spring Maternity in 2004 as a maternity fashion label and retailer, evolving it into a multibrand store for new parents, and eventually founded Bove in 2016 as a new parenthood experiential centre, and an omni-channel store.
