Many do not have the knowledge to discern if the information is true and accurate. On the other hand, we are seeing a steep rise in medical conditions due to improper dietary intake such as diabetes, obesity, heart health, fatty liver, and kidney failure.  Understanding the basics of food macronutrients will guide us in making the right and responsible dietary choices. This knowledge will allow us to take a proactive and preventative approach in managing our own health through food.
