1) Basis Technology: “Four Hundred Years of Innovation: From Human Rights to Machine Intelligence” (presented in English & Japanese) CEO Carl Hoffman will give a brief history of innovation in Massachusetts from the Pilgrims arriving in 1620 to the founding of the MIT AI Lab, then go more in-depth about the role of Massachusetts role in key technologies, concluding with an overview of Basis Technology and the other companies presenting this evening.2) Tamr: “The Dirty Little Secret of Enterprise Data” Targeted business issue: Too much enterprise data is scattered across different information systems within one company or across its many offices. It is impossible to get a single view into all the data. How It Works and Its Applications”Targeted business issue: Natural language processing has become a critical function of AI-based applications that need to analyze or “understand” text. The demand for yet greater accuracy persists.Solution: Deep learning is a new technique that increases the accuracy of natural language processing to approach human accuracy.
