Famous for creating lovable characters in his comedic films, Thongkongtoon branched out into the realm of horror with 2008’s 4bia, a four-segment horror omnibus, as well as romantic dramas in 2009 with Best of Times, Thailand’s submission to the 82nd Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. In this session, discover the influences and inspirations behind his moviemaking (from writing to directing and producing), and find out how he consistently reinvents Thai cinema.Yongyoot Thongkongtoon is a Thai film director, producer and screenwriter. Thongkongtoon’s directorial debut, The Iron Ladies, was the highest-grossing film in Thailand in 2000, highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally. The film won several accolades at the Thailand National Film Association Awards and a special mention Teddy Award at the 2001 Berlin International Film Festival. He currently works at three film and media companies: as Senior Creative Producer at Sanookdee Thaweesuk; co-founder, Senior Director of Marketing Communications and Senior Director of International Business Department at GDH 559; and co-founder of Hub Ho Hin Bangkok.

TICKETING
A fully refundable fee of $5 is charged for each ticket booking.
At the event, simply present the e-ticket to the Front-of-House desk. The refund will be processed electronically via Peatix. Otherwise, the ticket will be forfeited.
Registration closes 5 December, 5pm. Any cancellations must be made before this cut-off date and time.
Should the refund be done before the credit card cut-off date, no money will be deducted for ticket payment. In most cases, both the ticket payment and the refund appear separately on the credit card statement.
Should the refund be done after the credit card cut-off date, Peatix will refund the amount the next month through a negative invoice.
