本イベントは翌日10月4日（水）に開催されるVR/AR/MR ビジネスEXPOの前夜祭イベントです。「VR/AR/MR ビジネスEXPO」に参加される方（参加者、出展者）は入場料が無料となります。参加者の方は受付で「VR/AR/MR ビジネスEXPO」のチケットを確認させていただきます。「VR/AR/MR ビジネスEXPO」のチケットを持っておらず、無料チケットを選択された場合は入場をお断りさせていただく場合があります。年々、盛り上がりを見せているVR/AR/MR分野。エンターテイメント分野以上に産業利用が進んでいます。本セミナーでは、VR/AR/MRの産業利用に関して、国内外の現状を解説するとともに、具体的な利用について実例を紹介し、その理解を深めることを目的として開催します。今回はEXPOの開催に伴い来日している海外の専門家、スタートアップにも登壇いただき、国内ではなかなか聴くことのできない観点からのプレゼンテーションを行っていただきます。翌日に開催するEXPOでは実際に体験をしていただくことで、VR/AR/MRの産業利用の全体像から具体的事例まで知っていただくことができます。なお、プレイベント終了後は１時間ほど軽食を用意しての懇親会も開催します。EXPOに参加される予定の方はぜひご参加ください。■登壇者Marco DeMiroz 氏（通訳あり）Marco is the co-founder and a general partner of The Venture Reality Fund (“The VR Fund”), where he oversees the company’s investments in early-stage augmented/mixed/virtual reality (“XR”) as well as Artificial Intelligence(“AI”), Machine Learning (“ML”), and Blockchain startups. He has extensive experience in executive roles with leading technology companies and in global investments. Marco has focused on strategic investments across media, entertainment, lifestyle, sports and technology with firms most recently with Evolution Media Capital (Evolution), where he led its investment in JauntVR. In addition to his role at The VR Fund, Marco actively advises numerous media and technology companies in the VR and AR sectors and has been collaborating in the formation of the Women in XR (“WXR”) Fund. Prior to joining Evolution, he was president and chief executive officer of the leading mobile game studio, PlayFirst, which he sold to Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU) in 2014. Marco currently serves on the Boards of the Fund’s portfolio companies Apprentice.io, Mindshow, and Virtualitics.Marco holds a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University; a postgraduate Engineer degree in aeronautics and astronautics from Stanford University; a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from San Jose State University; and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Naval Postgraduate School. During his time at Caltech, he founded and taught a course on Big Data Frameworks (Spark and Hadoop). He contributed to on-going to research in computational theory at Caltech and computational science at Duke University. Before joining Virtualitics, Aakash has served as a machine learning and solutions architecture consultant for several clients (data center/infrastructure management, retail and sales, content delivery). Aakash previously served as the lead data scientist for Echo360, where he designed and developed a scalable machine learning solution for unstructured (text, audio, images, videos, etc.) data that has been served to millions of users.
