INSTRUCTOR
Melanie Chua
Melanie Chua is an editor and the only certified Building Biologist in Singapore and Malaysia. Her interest is in how we perceive and inhabit the invisible world around us with a focus on the relationships between space, health and wellness. She received her certifications from the International Institute for Bau-biologie and Ecology in New Mexico, USA. Melanie believes that the environment we live in dramatically impacts our fundamental health—and is related to the broader well-being of community and ecology. Her approach blends building biology principles with design consciousness to optimise our living spaces in the ‘invisible fields’. She founded Building Biology Asia to showcase building design and traditions that not only create a beautiful space to be in, but help communities and future generations thrive.
