Dating from the late 1800s, this pretty villa is the oldest on Mount Emily and the adjacent Mount Sophia. It was built as a grand residence which had not just a “beautiful view over the town and the harbour,” but also came with “2 tennis courts and stables for 5 horses and 4 carriages.” It has been put to a variety of uses over its time, including as the Japanese Consul-General’s offices before WWII.These days it's a centre for the Arts, with the fun and funky Kult Kafe in residence providing refreshments.The villa is the perfect magical setting for our India-inspired evening!
