(Photo credit: Diane Lee) City composition comprises of sharing session and site walk allows participants to learn photography skills (basic photo composition and lighting) before proceeding to a site walk to try out these techniques. This workshop aims to let participants appreciate the landscape, cityscape and humanities aspects of architecture, while capturing it through their eyes using photography as a medium. Diane Lee, a local SUTD undergraduate, is the instructor of this workshop. INSTRUCTOR Diane Lee In 2012, Diane started off her photography journey with learning how to using a DSLR from her uncle. She then continued to expand her horizons in photography by joining her school’s Photography Club in 2013, where she learnt a wide variety of photography techniques through various platforms. Currently, she independently goes out during her free time to do (mostly) landscape photography and is a part of SUTD’s Photography Club. WORKSHOP DETAILS Venue: Sharing Session at Archifest Pavilion, Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza before proceeding to Marina Bay area for walkabout. Meeting Time: Please meet the workshop leader at 1:50PM 12:50PM (10 mins before the start of the workshop). Attire: Comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for outdoors. Hat or cap, is recommended. There will be a walk-around with the instructor. Equipment: Any form of image capturing device (eg. DSLR, Point & Shoot Camera or Phone Camera) Sale of tickets will close a day before the scheduled workshop or until tickets are sold out. WHAT IS ARCHICRAFT? Archicraft in Archifest 2018 is a series of curated workshops, organized in carefully curated architectural space or buildings, that provides the opportunity for participants to delve into a variety of disciplines in society and their interaction with architecture. These series of workshops are aimed at empowering participants to adopt an active role in becoming 'agents for change' in our living environment. There is a total of 5 workshops to choose from; from learning how building pollutants affect the environment to learning how to compose a thought-provoking architectural photograph or even to growing your very own personal ‘farm’.
